Who should attend the STP course?
STP focuses on upgrading the managerial and “People” skills of workers overseeing crews and jobs. Forepersons and supervisors at every level can benefit. The LMCI encourages company management to attend the program with their supervisors.

My company uses certain paper work and procedures in executing jobs, I’m concerned that the program may send mixed signals
to my employees.

The STP course explains why paperwork is necessary and important and provides tips on completing jobsite documentation correctly.

Paying my people for two days while attending the STP course is a substantial investment. Is it worth it?
After participating in the Program, employers consistently state that the value of the program far exceeds the investment to participate in the class.

My employees don’t understand what they really cost me. Is this addressed in the Program?
The Program includes exercises, which develop the real hourly cost based on the attendees Collective Bargaining Agreement and industry costs for insurance and taxes.

How much does it cost to attend the STP course?
The PAT LMCI pays for all the Program costs including the course materials, instructors’ expenses, meeting facilities and certain meals. The LMCI’s policy is that the employers pay their employees for classes taken during the regular workweek. The employees’ time attending Saturday classes is an investment by the employees, and they are not paid for this time.
