Our training centers across North America provide not only provide apprenticeships, but specific journey-level skills training and multi-craft training to our workers. Classes range from the technical intricacies of spray tip mechanisms to blueprint reading. Many opportunities are available for our workers to broaden and update their knowledge and skills to continually provide our signatory contractors with a workforce that is current in today’s trends. LMCI member contractors have immediate access to skilled crafts workers through our market responsive agreements. Our member contractors have the ability to bid on projects across North America utilizing our nationally maintained database that matches our crafts workers with contractors. The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades’ (IUPAT’s) top priority is building membership in the labor organization with skilled craft workers. For a detailed description of LMCI’s goals read our mission statement and strategic plan. The IUPAT is reaching out to potential members constantly.
