Supervisor Training Program

The LMCI’s STP is designed to strengthen the abilities of project supervisors at all levels.

The course is open to all field supervisors, foremen and those who anticipate fulfilling these roles in the near future. Management representatives of the employer are encouraged to attend the course along with their sponsored employees. There is considerable interaction among participants in the STP program. It is designed to encourage the participants to learn from one another. Supervisors practice important skills and interact in both large and small groups.

• New supervisors/foremen broaden their understanding of the responsibilities of their job and develop tools and techniques to better fulfill those responsibilities.
• Experienced supervisors strengthen their skills in traditional methods and have the opportunity to develop new in emerging areas.

Supervisors at all levels record, report and oversee the progress of the project. They interact with the various project team members within the company and represent the company externally to ensure a smooth running operation.

• Field Supervisors play a key role in the construction process;
• The Foremen plan the daily and weekly work schedule for their work force. They ensure the most efficient methods are practiced and invested in labor, materials, and equipment to produce a top quality job.
• Upper Level Supervisors include planning strategic operations for major projects, groups of jobs or even the company as a whole. They are also tasked with resolving production problems if and when they arise.
